羅馬名人賽／蠻牛、喬帥八強就位　四強有望提前對決

西班牙「蠻牛」Rafael Nadal與當今球王Novak Djokovic可能在四強提前交手，現在兩人雙雙晉級八強，生涯第三十五度交手，有望在準決賽提早實現。

Nadal在羅馬名人賽6度摘冠，他與Djokovic在決賽碰頭過三次，贏了其中兩次，要挑戰賽史第7冠，遇上塞爾維亞人之前，要先通過同胞David Ferrer的考驗。

晉級八強的路上，Nadal有個糟糕的開盤，面對會外賽晉級的拉脫維亞選手Ernests Gulbis，兩度遭到破發來到0-5落後，逃過4個盤末點仍以1-6輸掉。

Nadal次盤穩住陣腳，但依舊打得辛苦，但順利扳回一城，決勝盤也頂注平分壓力，把握第3個賽末點機會收下勝利，比數為1-6、7-5、6-4。

Nadal去年溫網落敗後，就一路休戰近7個月，左膝蓋的傷勢一直困擾著他，現在他的練球時間也從每天兩個小時銳減為50分鐘，不過他說：「我真得不想討論膝蓋，我沒事！」

「今天這場比賽就是遇到了一些麻煩，但你繼續拚每一球，這場勝利有很多意義存在著。」Nadal說道。

Djokovic八強之路走得平順，以6-1、6-4擊敗烏克蘭選手Alexandr Dolgopolov，本季在紅土球場成績來到8勝1敗，下戰對手為大會第六種子Tomas Berdych，另外大會第二種子Roger Federer也以6-1、6-2輕取法國選手Gilles Simon。
