我慈航軍艦抵帛琉

【王烱華／台北報導】我國載運救援物資前往帛琉的海軍「慈航專案」任務區隊，今日上午抵達帛琉馬拉卡港展開靠泊運輸物資，傳送中華民國政府及人民的關懷與鼓勵。
 
「海燕」颱風於11月上旬侵襲帛琉共和國，我外交部於11月12日捐贈10萬美元協助該國重建，並經層峰指示，由海軍編成慈航任務區隊，納編中和艦（舷號232）、昆明艦（舷號1205），載運組合屋資材、水塔、白米等大批援助物資，12月13日發航前往帛琉馬拉卡港，歷經1400多浬海上航程12月18日抵達帛琉馬拉卡港，立即展開卸載任務，並受到帛琉政府歡迎。
