老妻在某文化機構當志工，這天剛好有展覽開幕，十一點多時，進來一個老先生，看完展覽，跟老妻打招呼。老妻隨口問他：「早啊！你怎麼知道我們有展覽開幕呀？」

老先生挺健談，說他每天一早看聯合報，把哪個地方有什麼活動的新聞剪下來，然後按時間和地點遠近排列，有空就選擇適當的幾項，安排行程，出來走動。「我今年七十五歲，退休十年了，光看展覽、聽演講，就過得很充實！你們這個展覽是我今天第二站，我剛剛還去了中山北路巷內的永靜公園，也是從報上得知的呢！」

我聽老妻轉述，很敬佩老先生按「報」索驥，蒐集、整理活動訊息的學習精神，各縣市的文教機關每天都會舉辦許多活動，包括演講、展覽及研討會，許多都是免費的，只要多看報紙，也很容易知道這些訊息。

退休族不要怕沒地方可去，多走動，既可活動筋骨，又可增長見識呢！
