在稍早曝光實機外觀後，Sony在16日全球同步發表活動上也正式揭曉Cyber-Shot DSC-RX10，同時確定將在11月14日在台上市，同時建議售價也確定為新台幣35980元，實際定位將介於先前推出的RX1與RX100中間位置。

Sony在16日全球同步發表活動除公布全片幅無反光鏡機種α7與α7R售價，以及首度推出對應全片幅感光元件的E接環鏡頭組消息，先前同樣多次曝光的Cyber-Shot DSC-RX10也正式揭曉實機細節，以及相關上市訊息與售價。

RX10將採用常見旅遊機外觀設計，並且搭載2020萬畫素1吋Exmor R CMOS背照式感光元件 (與RX100採相同感光元件)，另外也採用f/2.8恆定光圈設計、等同24-200mm焦段的Vario-Sonnar T*卡爾蔡司變焦鏡頭。此外，RX10同樣也導入NFC、Wi-Fi機能，讓使用者能快速與手持裝置建立連線互動。

目前Cyber-Shot DSC-RX10預計將在11月14日於台灣市場上市，建議售價姜維新台幣35980元。
