苗栗縣昨大雨不斷，公館、銅鑼兩地降雨量上百毫米，連日豪雨造成山區土石鬆軟，銅鑼鄉苗119線等地陸續傳出道路坍方、積水淹沒路面等災情。
昨上午6時許，獅潭鄉台3線126公里處，四線車道積水長達百公尺，水深及胸，84歲的老翁溫良順開轎車行經積水路段，竟冒險強行通過，因水太深，造成車輛熄火拋錨（圖），老翁長時間站在車外的水中待援，差點滅頂，消防隊員接獲通報，立刻趕往把人送醫，老翁雖有輕微失溫現象，但幸無大礙。文╱吳傑沐．圖╱翻攝畫面
