藉自身免疫細胞抗流感　萬用疫苗指日可待

【綜合報導】為因應新型流感病毒的出現，專家每年都會研發相關流感疫苗。不過，英國專家發現人體有一種細胞能抵禦流感病毒，將來只要研發一種萬用疫苗，就有希望預防各種流感。
 
倫敦帝國學院的專家從2009年起研究為何有些人感染病毒後亳無病徵，發現原來這些人與有嚴重病徵的人相較起來，其血液中含有較多具免疫作用的CD8 T細胞。
 
這個突破性的發現，促使專家將疫苗發展方向改為研發能促進身體製造更多CD8 T細胞的疫苗，以便使人體可用自體免疫力對抗任何新舊型的流感。專家相信，這有助遏止每年的季節性流感，以及在今後大流感爆發時起保護作用。
