波音777　全球最安全客機之一？

波音777為目前全球最大的雙發動機廣體客機，於1994年6月12日首次飛行。自使用起至今，共計發生5起重大意外。

據維基百科資料顯示，而截止2012年10月，波音777合計銷售1380架。前三名使用航空公司為：ILFC（國際租賃融資公司）、新加坡航空及阿拉伯聯合大公國航空。

5起重大意外情況如下：2001年9月5日，英國航空一架777-200ER在丹佛國際機場加油期間，加油喉管突然鬆脫，噴灑燃料並起火。火警雖於兩分鐘後被撲滅，但加油員被燒死；2004年8月24日，一架新加坡航空B777-300在墨爾本機場起飛時，其中一個發動機發生爆炸；2005年8月1日，一架馬來西亞航空B777-200ER從珀斯出發前往吉隆坡，期間飛行顯示儀器發生衝突，之後飛機超速並出現失速，飛機迫降在珀斯，所幸無人員傷亡。

2008年1月17日，英國航空038號班機在倫敦希斯路機場降落前，發動機突然失去動力，飛機在離27L跑道300公尺的草坪落地，最終停在27L跑道起點。該班從北京飛來的777-200ER（G-YMMM），降落時起落架穿破機翼，導致機體出現損毀，所幸全機152名乘客與機員安全逃離。由於損毀嚴重，英航決定不對該777進行修復，因而成為第一架全機報銷的777飛機。

此外，最為的嚴重的為韓亞航空公司在舊金山國際機場著陸時的墜毀事件。

據資料顯示，長榮航空亦配有15架波音777型飛機。
